Spinal Decompression Program

Spinal Decompression for Back Pain Relief at Infinite Healing Center

Infinite Healing Center is pleased to be able to provide patients with a wide variety of options for treating severe back pain, including spinal decompression treatment for patients in Mesa and the East Valley. In the past, general traction was frequently offered as a back pain relief option, but was often too blunt and general to be effective.

Today, our FDA-approved decompression treatments are helping to heal patients who struggle with herniated and bulging discs through gentle, highly-targeted traction forces. This treatment not only helps with posture correction and back pain, but it also helps intervertebral discs heal on their own; even to the point where patients considering back surgery have been able to avoid it altogether.

Spinal Decompression for Long-Term Pain Relief

Spinal decompression therapy is an incredibly specific, highly-targeted and very comfortable treatment for patients. In fact, we have had patients relax during treatment to the point where they actually fell asleep due to the immediate pain relief provided during decompression.

Although the back pain relief is usually immediate during treatment, it normally takes several treatment sessions spread out over a few weeks to achieve overall posture correction, which is the ultimate goal for long-term pain relief and good health.

During a spinal decompression session, a patient is strapped securely to a computerized table, programmed and supervised by the chiropractor. The chiropractor is able to specify exactly which vertebrae need to be stretched during treatment. The patient’s spine is then gently guided through a gradual set of stretch and release cycles. These gentle cycles prevent back muscle spasms often associated with traditional overall traction. They also create a negative pressure within the affected discs. This negative vacuum pressure actually draws fresh circulation and hydration right into the compressed or herniated discs that are pinching nerves and causing back misery. This enables the discs themselves to start healing on their own, often without surgical intervention of any kind. Over the course of several sessions, the discs are reshaped into their healthy position, which provides long-term relief to any pinched nerves.

Spinal decompression in Mesa and the East Valley get real relief results. The majority of patients feel relief during the first treatment. Longer-term pain relief usually starts manifesting itself by the third treatment and eventually, the goal is to have the patient’s posture corrected through internal healing of the discs themselves.

Each decompression session lasts up to 30 minutes that may include 10 to 15 cycles of stretching and relaxation. We usually recommend less than 30 daily treatments in order for patients to experience the fullest extent of self-healing within the discs. Each patient is different, however, and depending on lifestyle and other considerations, occasional maintenance sessions may be recommended. The best news of all is that most patients report complete pain relief after the full course of decompression sessions has been completed.

We offer not only a full range of all chiropractic services and physiotherapy services, we also offer spinal decompression therapy of the non-surgical type. The Frequently Asked Questions list below will explain everything you might want to know about spinal decompression as a new patient.

Why Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression is Different

Many people confuse surgical spinal decompression with our non-surgical approach. Non-surgical decompression is a 100 percent non-invasive method of spinal therapy that is designed to relieve a number of different pain complaints. Patients will never be under anesthesia and won't undergo painful operative techniques with non-surgical decompression.
